Remarks: Competition 1994

The project “Shed” continues the shape of the former shed halls remainings after the fire. It integrates them into a new compact structure, which interprets the typology of the old industrial halls in a new way. In addition to the listed factory building, a high-quality residential quarter, large public open spaces, an exhibition hall and a school building with gymnasium were developed on the former industrial site next to the river Limmat.
