For a world-famous pianist and her husband, a photographer, an estate was developed right on the edge of the construction zone. A gatehouse with carport, music studio and a guest apartment marks the entrance to the property. The main house on the very top of the Grabacher development (see no.54) is not seen from the street. It nestles into the existing topography and forms open and covered outdoor spaces on each floor. The indoor staircase changes its geometry from floor to floor. They form a funnel and open the space upwards.
